04/30/11: HC Men v Rutgers in New Brunswick, NJ

The men will be traveling this weekend for their final duel of the regular season.

More info is available below.

Racing will begin at 7:30a with the 1V race, the 2V and 1F races will follow.

According to the most recent cMax report, HC is favored to win the 1V race by 3 seconds over Rutgers. For those unfamiliar with cMax, it is a statistical analysis of all race reports throughout a season. Based on all results compiled, it tries to determine how far back every team is from the "fastest" boat. Currently the University of Washington is in first place. If you are interested in learning more, here is a link to an article that was published by Rowing News Magazine a few years ago.

One of our parents, Mark Hayes, P '12 will be traveling from Minnesota to watch the racing, and has offered to entertain and friends or family that make it down to Rutgers Friday evening. We hope that there will be a good showing of Friends for this race; it is not too far from either our Philadelphia contingent or our New York contingent.

If you are interested in meeting up with Mark, please send us an email HERE and we will put you in contact with Mark.

On a final note, the EARC Sprints is just over two weeks away, which means the Golf Outing is fast approaching! We'd love to have a huge number of people turn out for this event, as it was a lot of fun last year and a great chance to connect with both familiar and unfamiliar faces.

As always, give us a shout if you have any questions/comments/concerns.
