Recognition from Crusader Athletic Fund

We just recently received a mailing from the Crusader Athletic Fund (CAF) with some notes about the successes of the 2010-2011 fiscal year (FY). We would like to take a moment to highlight the successes of fundraising for the Crew programs, especially as they relate to the rest of the sports teams.
  • Crew was one of 5 sports (out of the 27 varsity programs) that set a record for the largest amount of dollars raised in the history of the CAF.
  • Crew was one of 6 sports that set a record for the largest number of donors in the history of the CAF.
  • Crew had 265 donors in the 2010-2011 FY, second as a sport behind only Football (Gridiron Club), and third as an allocation behind Football (373) and All-Sports Fund (558).
  • Crew raised $56,869, third as a sport behind only Football ($155,396) and Lacrosse ($123,417), as well as the All-Sports Fund ($81,037).
  • Breaking it down a little further, Crew had the 8th highest amount of dollars given per donor - with an average donation of $214.60. That is a great statistic, when you also consider that 33% of young alumni (Classes of 2001-2010) made donations!
All in all, we consider the 2010-2011 FY to be a great year of supporting the team, and we'd like to think that we can improve on these numbers even more this year, and in the years to come. Thank you to everyone for all that you have done to support the team!

Look for more posts in the near future regarding a get-together for the weekend of the Princeton Chase (Oct 29-30). We're also still working on our interviews with Coach Monte and some of the current athletes.
